Same and different worksheets for ages 4-5
Which dinosaur eggs are identical, and which one has a different decoration? Dinosaur Egg Lab turns that question into ten printable activity pages for preschool children ages 4-5. The primary skill is visual matching: looking closely at spots, lines, rings, and zigzags before choosing a picture. The playful hatchery theme carries through the pages without requiring dinosaur facts or independent reading.
What your child will do
Begin with large eggs and a choice of two possible matches. Then draw lines between matching eggs, cross out an odd egg, find two twins among six choices, and check delivery boxes for identical pairs. Later pages ask children to notice the position of every mark and match two eggs in the same left-to-right order.
The final activities bring the ideas together. Children connect three scattered pairs, draw decorations inside blank egg outlines to copy a model, and complete a hatchery check with matching, difference finding, and drawing. These are picture-comparison tasks; there are no color-dependent answers, cutting tasks, or alphabet exercises.

Print a page and explore together
After purchase, download the PDF and open it in a PDF reader. Print the activity pages on A4 paper at actual size. For other paper sizes, use your printer’s fit setting and check the preview. A pencil is enough; the color cover can remain on screen to save ink.
An adult can read the directions and explain “same” and “different” using the first row. Choose a few tasks at a time, let your child point before marking, and revisit a page when useful. This is a digital PDF download: no physical book or supplies are shipped.
