Later pages offer orange-and-strawberry pairs, an empty space inside a shelf, and a choice between two possible continuations. A vertical fruit stand changes the direction of the pattern. Two basket rows offer separate choices, and a later challenge asks children to find one fruit that breaks an established pattern.
