Picture book about patience and careful thinking
A treat waits at the top of a slippery hill in Clover Meadow. Bouncer the bunny tries fast leaps and risky gadgets to reach it, while Toby the turtle pauses to think about the problem. Their different approaches make this a story about patience in action: taking time to choose a plan instead of repeating a hurried attempt.
Read and talk about patience and careful thinking
Being thoughtful can be more useful than simply trying to move faster.
After reading, try asking: How could stopping to think help Bouncer with the slippery hill? Let your child point to a scene or describe a character’s choice in their own words.
