Picture book about honesty and fairness
A sparkling blue marble goes missing in a forest village, and suspicion falls on Sylvester the fox. Judge Bramble the badger chooses to listen rather than rush to a verdict. The dispute gives the characters a chance to tell the truth, hear one another and consider how a fair response differs from a quick accusation.
Read and talk about fairness and honesty
A fair decision needs attention to what happened, not just suspicion.
After reading, try asking: Why does Judge Bramble listen before deciding what happened? Let your child point to a scene or describe a character’s choice in their own words.
