AAB pattern worksheets inside Hedgehog Tailor Shop
Two buttons, then a patch: the little tailor has a repeating order to follow. These AAB pattern worksheets for ages 4-5 keep that three-part rule at the center of a playful workshop. The first two pictures are the same; the third is different. Children follow the pictures with an adult, then begin completing the rows themselves.
Ten activities with a steady progression
Begin by pointing to two complete groups and saying the objects aloud. Next, choose the picture that comes after two buttons, copy a group from a shelf, and draw a missing group along a ribbon border. Later pages move the empty space into the middle of a sequence, so children check both sides before drawing.
A scarf challenge asks children to recognize which row keeps the rule from the start. Another page changes the focus to size: two small buttons followed by a big one. Complete a whole border, fill workshop orders, and finish with a personal pattern using two chosen pictures. Buttons, square patches, bows and thread spools appear as simple black outlines with room to draw.

Print a page and explore together
Use a pencil and ordinary paper; crayons are optional. Print selected activity pages in black and white, check A4 paper size in your printer preview, and choose fit-to-page if your printer needs it. Simple outline drawings are enough when completing a space. Say the repeating group together before asking what belongs in the blank. No sewing, cutting or physical buttons are required.
