Number tracing 1-10 at the Little Train Ticket Office

A train ticket needs a number before the journey begins. Little Train Ticket Office gives children ages 4-5 a playful reason to follow numeral paths and try writing independently. Each of the ten activities introduces the next number, starting with a straight 1 and ending with the two digits of 10.

What children do on the activity pages

Large solid models show the number to look at. Dashed centerline guides and black starting dots mark the tracing paths; empty tickets, signs and gates leave room for a child’s own number. The railway setting changes across the pages, from paired seat tickets and window tickets to a practice train and a station sign.

The later activities include a closer look at 6 and 9, copying a sign onto its matching ticket, and a final review of 1, 5 and 10. The last page also invites the child to draw two train wheels. Short English instructions can be read aloud by a grown-up. There are no timed tasks, cutting pieces or required extra materials.

Print a ticket and begin

Download the PDF after payment and open it in a PDF reader. Choose A4 paper and check the printer preview so the whole page stays inside the printable area. Print individual activities or work through the book in order. The color cover is optional to print; the interior works on an ordinary black-and-white printer.

Use a pencil or crayon. Point to the model, trace a dashed number together and let your child try the empty space at a comfortable pace. The two gallery samples show real pages from this same PDF so you can inspect the activity style before choosing.
