Christmas friendship picture book
Sterling the glass ornament believes he is too beautiful to hang beside Patch, a handmade felt bear. He sends Patch to a lower branch, but a bump from the family dog puts the tree's decorations in danger. Their encounter contrasts glittering appearance with the support a friend can give when it is needed.
Read and talk about friendship and humility
The value of a friend is not decided by appearance.
After reading, try asking: What can Patch offer that Sterling's glitter cannot? Let your child point to a scene or describe a character’s choice in their own words.
