Prewriting strokes with a ribbon theme
A ribbon can float in a wave, turn a crisp corner or curl into a loop. Ribbon Dance Studio brings those movements onto the page through prewriting strokes worksheets for ages 4-5. The original studio theme connects ten activities, while clear black outlines and generous spaces keep attention on the pencil marks. There are no letters or words for children to trace.
What is inside the activity book?
The ten black-and-white pages move from short strokes toward longer combinations. Children begin with horizontal lines, then try downward strokes and slanted lines. Connected waves introduce smooth changes of direction; zigzags add corners. Large arches and open loops offer different curved movements before one long rehearsal ribbon combines several strokes.
Practice also includes copying a model into an empty space. On the gift-wrapping review page, children trace a wave, zigzag or loop ribbon on one band, then draw a similar ribbon below. The final activity combines tracing, matching stroke types and drawing an original ribbon with a wave and a corner. Filled starting dots and open finishing circles mark the guided tracing routes.
Using the printable pages at home
Print one activity at a time and read the short English direction together. A pencil or crayon is enough; scissors, cutting and extra craft materials are not required. Let your child move at a comfortable pace and choose whether to repeat a page. Some exercises include open drawing spaces, so there is room for individual marks rather than one prescribed picture.
