Picture book about sharing and fairness
Sly Silas the fox hoards berries in a forest clearing instead of sharing them with his neighbors. Barnaby the bear notices the trickery, bringing the question of fairness into the open. Their encounter follows how one animal's selfish choice affects the others and why a shared resource calls for consideration.
Read and talk about fairness and sharing
Sharing involves thinking about the needs of others as well as one's own.
After reading, try asking: What would make the berries available more fairly to the forest friends? Let your child point to a scene or describe a character’s choice in their own words.
