Snowman story about friendship
Frost wants the attention of the sunny front yard and tricks Snowball into moving behind the garage. The shade seems like a lesser place until the afternoon sun begins to melt Frost. Snowball's position gives the friends a different perspective on what matters, with kindness and their unequal treatment at the center of the problem.
Read and talk about friendship
A choice made to put someone else last can have unexpected consequences.
After reading, try asking: How does the sunny spot look different once Frost begins to melt? Let your child point to a scene or describe a character’s choice in their own words.
