Illustrated fable about inner beauty
A leopard admires his spotted coat and speaks proudly about his appearance. A fox offers a different way of thinking about beauty, drawing attention to thoughts and actions instead. The Fox and the Leopard turns their jungle debate into a short illustrated fable about the qualities that an attractive surface cannot show.
Read and talk about inner beauty
Character can be judged through choices as well as appearances.
After reading, try asking: What qualities does the fox value besides an attractive coat? Let your child point to a scene or describe a character’s choice in their own words.
