Bee and bear story about preparation
Buzzy the bee builds honeycombs and gathers nectar while Beo the bear naps on a sunny rock. When a cold storm arrives, Buzzy's stored food and cared-for hive become useful. The friends' contrasting choices make preparation visible, connecting steady effort with a need that is easy to overlook on a warm day.
Read and talk about preparation and responsibility
An everyday task can provide for a later need.
After reading, try asking: Why does Buzzy work on the hive before the storm arrives? Let your child point to a scene or describe a character’s choice in their own words.
