Santa story about patience and wisdom
Sparky the inventor elf believes a giant sonic cannon will clear the thick Christmas fog. His noisy solution creates more commotion instead. Santa offers a different approach, placing patience and attention beside Sparky's enthusiasm for gadgets. The story gives an inventive character a reason to reconsider whether the loudest response is the most helpful one.
Read and talk about patience and wisdom
An impressive invention still needs to fit the problem it is meant to solve.
After reading, try asking: Why does Santa approach the fog differently from Sparky? Let your child point to a scene or describe a character’s choice in their own words.
