Illustrated story about honesty
High among clouds and stars, Jasper the sky magpie wants a shiny object badly enough to make a dishonest choice. Keeping the truth hidden becomes uncomfortable. Orla the cloud owl offers patient guidance as Jasper faces what he has done, connecting the story's fantasy setting to a recognizable problem about honesty and trust.
Read and talk about honesty
Owning a mistake gives the characters a chance to deal with it openly.
After reading, try asking: What makes it difficult for Jasper to tell the truth? Let your child point to a scene or describe a character’s choice in their own words.
