Short illustrated fable with a moral about listening
Billy the young goat stays at home while his mother is away. A wolf tries to trick him, creating a situation where remembering advice matters more than following an invitation. This version of The Wolf and the Kid centers on Billy's choices and his mother's guidance, connecting a short animal fable with a clear lesson about listening.
Read and talk about listening to advice
Listening to trusted guidance and questioning a tempting invitation are central to this fable.
After reading, try asking: Which advice helps Billy decide what to do when the wolf arrives? Let your child point to a scene or describe a character’s choice in their own words.
